In this study, the effect of livestock facility modernization policy on the management performance of Hanwoo farms was evaluated. Two estimation techniques were used to estimate the average treatment effect of the policy based on the propensity score of Hanwoo farms. One is a matching (1:1) method and the other is an inverse weighting method. The average treatment effect of the policy estimated by the two methods was found to be almost similar, although there were differences in the size of the estimated coefficients and the degree of statistical significance. In both estimation results, it was found that the policy had statistically significant effects on the improvement of fattening performance, the reduction of labor force, and the reduction of quarantine and treatment costs. Specifically, the appearance rate of meat quality grade 1 or higher and the appearance rate of meat quantity grade A or B increased by 10.13~10.88%p and 9.77~11.59%p, respectively. In addition, the weekly working hours per person decreased by 4.76~7.08 hours and the number of workers per head decreased by 0.007. Annual quarantine and treatment costs per head also decreased by 5,342~ 5,670 won.
