고등학생을 위한 선거토론 듣기 교육 내용 연구

A Study on the Contents of Election Debate Listening Education for High School Students

목적 본 연구에서는 선거 연령의 하향에 대비하여 청소년이 현재 혹은 미래 책임감 있는 선거권 행사를 할 수 있도록 중요한 정치적 이벤트 중 하나인 선거토론 듣기 교육 내용을 연구하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 선거토론을 분석할 때 주로 사용되는 이론적 틀인 베노이트(Benoit)의 기능 이론을 분석하여 이를 학습자에 맞게 수정하고, 이 틀로 19대 대통령 후보 토론 자료를 담화 분석하였다. 결과 그 결과 선거 토론은 크게 정책과 인물 범주의 주장으로 나누어 볼 수 있었으며, 정책은 과거 행적, 정책의 잘잘못, 그리고 미래의 계획 및 일반 목표로 나눌 수 있었다. 그리고 인물 차원의 논쟁에서는 개인 자질, 리더십 능력, 정치적 이상 등으로 분류될 수 있었다. 특히 본 연구의 자료에서는 과거의 업적과 행위 차원에서 색깔론 공세가 빈번하게 나타났으며, 공약과 관련하여 비용 및 소요 예산의 문제에 대해 치열하게 공방을 벌였다. 그리고 많은 부분 개인적 자질에 대한 공격으로 시간을 할애하였다. 결론 학습자들은 선거 토론에서 후보자들의 발화 하나하나가 고도의 전략적 소산이라는 것을 이해하고 이러한 전략적 측면의 효과와 적절성 측면을 분석하여야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 이에 대한 시사점을 함께 제공하였다.

Objectives In this study, in preparation for the lowering of the election age, the contents of election debate listening education, one of the important political events, were studied so that adolescents can exercise their current or future responsible voting rights. Methods To this end, in this study, the functional theory of Benoit, a theoretical framework mainly used when analyzing election debates, was analyzed to suit learners, and the 19th presidential candidate debate data was discourse-analysis. Results As a result, election debates could be largely divided into claims in policy and person categories, and policies could be divided into past actions, policy mistakes, and future plans and general goals. And in the debate at the person level, it could be classified into individual qualities, leadership ability, and political ideals. In particular, in the data of this study, colorist attacks frequently appeared in terms of past achievements and actions, and fierce battles were fought over the issues of costs and required budgets in relation to pledges. And much of the time was spent attacking personal qualities. Conclusions Learners should understand that each candidate's utterance in the election debate is a high strategic outcome and analyze the effectiveness and appropriateness of these strategic aspects. This study also provided implications for this.
