전문상담교사의 윤리적 의사결정 유형 및 특성에 관한 연구

A Study on the Ethical Decision Making Types and Characteristics of School Counselors: Q Methodological Approach

목적 본 연구는 전문상담교사가 경험하는 윤리적 갈등상황에서 의사결정의 근거는 무엇이고, 어떠한 요인을 중요하게 고려하는지 분석하여 유형화하고 각 유형의 특성을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 Q 방법론의 절차에 따라 Q 표본을 선정하고, 학교 및 교육청에서 전문상담교사로 근무하고 있는 참여자 35명을 P 표본으로 선정하여 Q 표본을 분류하게 하였으며, 진술문, 추가 면담 자료 및 일반적 특성 정보를 중심으로 유형과 특성을 분석하였다. 결과 전문상담교사의 윤리적 의사결정 유형은 ‘내담자 우선 전문성 추구형’, ‘지침 기반 내담자 존중형’, ‘관계 중시 경험 확신형’, ‘조직 순응 안전 추구형’의 네 가지로 확인되었다. 결론 각 유형의 특성, 유형별 보완점, 학교상담의 발전과 전문상담교사의 윤리적 의사결정을 위한 제도적⋅행정적 체계 재정비의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.

Objectives The purposes of this study were to find out what types of ethical decision-making is based on the ethical coflict experienced by a school counselor, and to identify characteristics by ethical decision-making types what is important considerations factors among the various factors. Methods This study was conducted by applying Q methodology, the research procedure consisted of five stages: establishment of Q-population, selection of Q-sample and reliability test, selection of P-sample, Q-classification, analysis of results and interpretation. Results According to the analysis, there were four types of ethical decision-making by school counselors. Type 1 is ‘Client-first Professionalism pursuit’, type 2 is ‘Regulation-based Respect for Client’, type 3 is ‘Relationship-emphasis Experience conviction’ and type 4 is ‘Organization-conformity Safety pursuit’. Conclusions The characteristics and security points of each type, and the necessity of institutional and administrative reorganization for ethical decision-making of school counselors were discussed.
