A Study on the Direction of Art Museum Education for the Social Ability Recovery of Older People with Mild Dementia

This study targeted the lives of older people and approached the social needs of cultural and artistic activities to prevent senile diseases and dementia and overcome dementia as follows:First, the necessity of culture and arts education is presented by the improvement of the quality of life of the super-aged. Second, it analyzes the need for art museum programs to prevent the risk of diseases and dementia in older adults and to recover from mild dementia. Third, it presents the possibility of art museum education for cultural enjoyment and social restoration and healing. This study highlighted the role of local hub mediators in art galleries for the healthy life and sustainability of older adults. It also concluded the need for lifelong education in the museum and its future direction. First, this requires the design of Raport Buildings and mid- to long-term programs that provide trust and intimacy. Second, art museum education for older people with mild dementia requires mutual cooperation and balance between artists, therapists, supervisors and curators. Third, for art museum programs that help overcome psychological difficulties and recover from daily life, we need guidelines for designing healing activities museum services that everyone communicates and interacts with.
