한방의료관광 진흥을 위한 탐색적 연구

An Exploratory Study on Promoting Oriental Medical Tourism through Analyzing the Exchange Network Established by Suppliers of the Oriental Medical Tourism in Gwangju

본 연구에서는 미래 먹거리 산업으로 규정된 의료관광 중 한방의료관광에 초점을 맞춰 활성화 방안을 모색해 보았다. 전통의학 자체만으로도 외국인 의료관광객을 유치할 수 있으며, 관광과 접목된 웰니스 또는 힐링 관광으로의 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 국립아시아문화전당 개관을 계기로 아시아문화중심도시, 즉 국제도시로 도약을 준비하는 광주를 중심으로 한방의료관광 수용태세 및 관련 이해관계자간 인식을 살펴보는 탐색적 연구를 시도하였다. 첫째, 사회연결망분석을 통해 광주권 한방의료관광 서비스 공급자간 교류 네트워크를 분석하고, 향후 이상적인 협력체계에 대해 논의하였다. 둘째, 중요도-실행도 분석을 이용하여 한방의료관광지가 갖춰야 할 유무형의 인프라 요건을 진단하고 강화 방안을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 광주권의료관광협의회가 컨트롤타워로서 역할을 강화해야 하며, 시장발굴, 해외홍보활동, 공급자간 정보나 자원이 원활하게 유통될 수 있도록 해야 함을 알 수 있었다. 목적지 인프라 분석에 있어서도 홍보마케팅과 지방정부 차원의 행재정 지원을 통해 본격적인 한방의료관광객 수요를 증대시킬 필요가 있음을 시사하였다.

This study aimed to find out the development strategies for Oriental Medical Tourism which is defined as the Futurity Industry. It is suggested that Oriental Medical Tourism could satisfy the needs of oriental medical patients as well as the consumption of wellness tourists. For this, the study aimed to research how to develop Oriental Medical Tourism in Gwangju which is expected to become a global city since the grand opening of the Asian Culture Center. First, it discussed the appropriate cooperative networks for resources or information, which were established by suppliers in the industry of Oriental Medical Tourism, using Social Network Analysis. Second, it diagnosed the infrastructure factors required for Oriental Medical Tourism Destination using Important-Performance Analysis. As a result, the Gwangju Medical Tourism Association should take a role as a control tower. For example, it should target the market, promote destinations abroad, and distribute resources or information to other suppliers. In the building of infrastructure of Oriental Medical Tourism Destinations, it figured out a need to intensify promotion marketing and provide support for local governments.
