이 글에서는 예수의 하느님 나라 운동이 어떠한 사회정치적, 경제적 배경에서 이루어졌으며, 그것이 지향했던 정의가 어떠한 성격을 지니는지 살펴보았다. 특히 오늘날 산업사회가 전제하는 개인주의적 정의 관념과 예수의 하느님 나라 운동이 추구했던 생명의 정의가 어떻게 다른지 살펴보았다. 그리고 기후 위기의 시대 문명적 전환이라는 절대절명의 요구를 실천해야 하는 우리에게 하느님 나라 운동의 정의가 어떠한 의미를 지니는지 기술했다.
In this study, we examine the meaning of justice as sought by Jesus’ movement in light of the socio-political, and economic backgrounds of first-century Galilean agricultural society. In particular, we endeavor to interpret ‘the justice of life’ Jesus pursued during his ministry of the kingdom of God, and to compare it with the individualistic concept of justice in industrial society. Finally, we describe what ‘justice of life’ means for modern societies that are called to act towards the conversion of a civilization facing a catastrophic crisis in the form of climate change.
