자연 친화적 여가활동이 현대인의 삶에 미치는 의미에 관한 연구

A Study on the Meaning of Nature-Friendly Leisure Activities on the Lives of Modern People

본 연구는 도시 거주자들이 전통사회 개체화 이후 도시 일상을 통해 겪고 있는 사회 병리 현상과의 갈등 속에서 왜 자연 산천을 찾아 전통 습속 놀이 여가 활동을 추구하는지 그 의미와 체험의 본질을 심층적으로 밝히고자 한다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구방법은 질적 연구의 현상학적 분석 방법을 적용하였다. 연구 자료의 분석은 81개의 유의미한 원자료와 35개의 의미 있는 진술을 바탕으로 구성하였다. 12개의 부주제, 4개의 주제, 4개 차원으로 범주화하였다. 산업화에 따라 도시로 이주한 이들은 도시의 새로운 공동체에 적응하지 못하고 사회 병리현상 속에서 갈등을 겪는다. 그러나 고향의 정서를 느낄 수 있는 자연 산천에서의 여가활동 참여를 통해 서로 다른 지향점에서 시작된 개인 간의 이기성이 도시 공동체의 각종 병리 현상을 초래한 사실을 자성하게 된다. 그리고 모든 게 자신들의 부정과 불신에서 비롯되었음을 통찰하기에 이른다. 마침내 휴머니즘이 어우러져 있는 자연 친화적 여가활동 참여를 통해 인간에 대한 신뢰와 배려, 협치가 우리의 삶에서 매우 중요한 의미임을 깨우치게 된다. 따라서 대다수 도시 공동체에 거주하고 있는 현대인들은 그간 치열한 삶의 운명에서 초래되었던 갈등과 편견을 치유하고 극복해야 하는 현실을 수용함으로써 모두가 함께 배려하고 협치해야 하는 삶의 지혜를 얻게 된다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the significance of the meaning and experience of traditional leisure activities in mountain and stream areas and urban residents’ social pathology. The results of the study are as follows. The study used the phenomenological analysis method of qualitative research, employing 81 meaningful original data and 35 meaningful statements. A total of 12 sub-themes, four topics, and four dimensions were found. Those who migrated to urban areas as a result of industrialization failed to adapt to the new community of the city and suffered conflicts related to social pathology. However, participation in recreational activities in natural mountain and stream areas where the emotions of their hometown could be felt bolstered their self-esteem. Finally, through participation in nature-friendly recreational activities, trust, consideration, and cooperation among human beings were found to be important.
