문화유산에 대한 보존 및 활용 인식, 장소애착심, 태도 간의 구조적 관계

The Structural Relationships among Perception of Preservation and Utilization, Place Attachment, and Attitude toward Cultural Heritage

본 연구에서는 문화유산에 대한 보존 및 활용 인식, 장소애착심, 태도 간의 구조적 관계와 인지적 태도의 매개효과에 대해 살펴보았다. 분석자료는 청주문화재야행이 진행되는 동안 문화유산을 방문해 설문조사를 마친 총 331명을 대상으로 하였다. 분석은 구조방정식 모형을 사용해 변수 간의 관계와 효과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 문화유산에 대한 보존 및 활용 인식은 장소애착심에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 장소애착심은 인지적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 행위적 태도는 장소의존성에 의해서만 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 인지적 태도는 장소정체성과 행위적 태도 간의 관계에서 완전매개의 효과를 보이는 동안 장소의존성과 행위적 태도 간의 관계에서는 부분매개의 효과가 나타난 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때, 문화유산에 대한 보존 및 활용 인식은 장소애착심을 예측해 볼 수 있는 중요한 요인이며, 장소애착심은 태도형성의 선행변수가 될 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 나아가 검증된 변수들은 포괄적인 문화유산 정책과 관리를 위해 중요하게 고려될 수 있는 요인으로서 시사 하는바가 크다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 지속가능한 문화유산을 위한 학술적 실용적 시사점과 제언이 이루어지도록 하였다.

This study examined the structural relationships among the perception of preservation and utilization, place attachment, attitude, and the mediating effect of cognitive attitude in cultural heritage. A total of 331 respondents who visited the cultural heritage sites during Cultural Heritage Yahaeng completed a survey in Cheongju, South Korea. Structural Equation Modelling was then used to examine the relationships and effects among variables. The results showed that both preservation and utilization perception of cultural heritage positively influenced place attachment and place attachment positively influenced cognitive attitude. However, behavioral attitude was influenced by only place dependence. On the other hand, cognitive attitude was found to fully mediate the relationship between place identity and behavioral attitude, while partially mediate the relationship between place dependence and behavioral attitude. These findings indicate that both cultural heritage preservation and utilization perception are significant predictors of place attachment and place attachment also could be an antecedent of attitude formation. Furthermore, the results imply that those of tested variables are important factors in considering comprehensive cultural heritage policy and management. Based on these results, academic and practical implications and recommendations for the sustainable cultural heritage are provided.
