An Exploratory Study on Enneagram and Travel Motivation

This research is to determine if travel motivation has any relation to traveler's personality. As travel motivation has important role in predicting a traveler's behavior, it is valuable to examine a relationship between two variables. However, due to difficulties to measure the personality accurately, the relevant study has not been performed much. In this study, the personality was measured by Enneagram which has been verified by some of researchers. The findings demonstrate that the two variables are independable since the motivation can be changed by social, economical and environmental situation with demographical status etc. Another reason of the result is that the factors of motivation such as relaxation, have fun, cultural experiences and to meet new people are very universal to most of people.
