Determinants of Regional Tourism Competitiveness from a Viewpoint of Comparative Advantage

Regional tourism competitiveness has already surfaced to the fore as one of the main research areas propelled by globalization, information and urbanization. Nevertheless, most of studies dealing with regional tourism competitiveness have so far limited themselves. With this limitation in mind, this paper has approached regional tourism competitiveness from a viewpoint of comparative advantage in order to extract actual evaluation determinants. Since comparative advantage as a resource endowment is a major factor in determining tourism flow between tourist destinations, it has the benefit of simplifying inclusive and complicated competitive factors as tourist mobility. By utilizing QFD in comparative advantage viewpoint, 19 evaluation determinants and weights were drawn.
