Zn alloy of Long plated die casting was investigated by using computational fluid flow simulation and actual casting experiment. In this study, FEM and FDM codes were used to analyze process of die casting, and two different types of gate design, fan(casting design 1) and chisel(casting design 2) gate were used, and the results showed that long plated die casting was possible with chisel type design because this gate allowed Zn alloy more followed into the cavity than fan type at the point of view of soundness of casting and distortion generated after solidification. Also, fluid flow simulation agreed well with the actual die casting and the casting showed no defect and miss run.
