Nowadays, with the increased interest in the development of marine resources for Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks Many studies are ongoing. Underwater Acoustic sensor networks has been applied to the monitoring system of military purposes as well as water quality measurements in the marine, private research such as terrain exploration. However, in using acoustic signals underwater acoustic sensor networks, original MAC protocol studied for wireless acoustic sensor networks due to long time delay is not available. Thus, a new MAC protocol for underwater acoustic sensor networks is needed. In this paper, a new MAC protocol for underwater acoustic sensor networks is proposed. The MAC protocol is proposed for the network environment with high density layout between the nodes. In this environment, MAC protocol proposed for high network performance send a lot of data packets to the destination node by doing channel competition once. Through this way, the performance of the network is improved by reducing channel competition between nodes and decreasing time delay of data transfer. In this paper, the superiority of the proposed MAC protocol was confirmed by a detailed description of these techniques and comparisons with existing MAC.
