필리핀 학교에서 적용한 문화 활동 기반의 멀티미디어 활용 봉사단 수업 사례 연구

이 논문은 필리핀 초등학교 및 고등학교에서 문화교류를 통해 라포형성을 한 후에 멀티미디어 도구를 활용한 수업을 전개하고 학생들이 실습한 사례를 다루었다. 필리핀 학생들을 대상으로 문화교류 활동을 하면서 몰입도를 높이고, 멀티미디어 도구 실습을 통해 익혀나가는 수업 활동을 전개하였다. 기능을 익힌 후에 직접 학생들이 노래를 하거나 춤을 추면서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 주인공이 되도록 함으로써 컴퓨터 활용이 문화적 연계성을 가지도록 하는 봉사단 활동을 실시하였다. 2006년과 2007년 두 해에 걸쳐 운영한 프로그램에서 수집한 사진, 동영상, 참가자의 소감문과 일기 자료 및 보고서 자료 등을 분석하였다. 또한 봉사단 단원이었던 교사 1명을 대상으로 심층면담을 3회 실시하여 자료를 보완하였다. 자료 분석 결과를 토대로 필리핀 봉사단 활동의 특징을 포착하였으며, 그 연장선에서 10년 뒤 후속 사업으로 진행되었던 2018년 필리핀 봉사단 활동과 비교 고찰하였다. 이를 통해 한국의 학교수업과 방과 후 수업 현장에서 멀티미디어 도구를 사용한 창의적 체험을 장려하는 교육실행가들에게 지침을 제공하고자 하였다.

This paper reviewed cases where Korean AIV(APEC Internet Volunteer) members taught classes using multimedia tools after they formed a rapport through cultural exchanges in the Philippines. After completing the preparations for hardware and software installation in the computer lab, Korean Internet Volunteer members participated in cultural exchange activities with students through singing and dancing, increasing their immersion while practicing multimedia tools and developing class activities. After learning the computer skills, Filipino students were able to sing or dance to become the protagonists of the video recording content, thereby applying a model of the volunteer group’s activities in which the use of computers had cultural connections among them. Photos, videos, memo and report data were collected and analyzed. In order to supplement qualitative data analysis, interviews were conducted 2-3 times with one Korean teacher who was a member of the volunteer group. The main features of the Korean Internet Volunteer team activities were presented, and a follow-up Korean Volunteers’ activities in 2018 were reviewed as a contrast. Finally, we tried to suggest guidelines that might be applicable to Korean educational practitioners who used to encourage their students to promote creative expressions using multimedia tools in Korean schools and after-school classes.
