This study aims to investigate the educational value of actual experience in J. Dewey's educational thoughts. First, actual experience is an essential element of life and inevitable part of human life. Second, actual experience is the most important factor that triggers interest. It is an important factor in generating interest, a starting point for active interaction. Third, actual experience is an important driver of human thinking. Thinking is an inseparable relationship from action, and it occurs in actual experiences related to actions for Dewey's idea, Fourth, actual experience is a powerful driving force that leads the growth of children and students throughout their lives. Actual experience is a necessary condition rather than a sufficient condition for growth.
