대학교육에서 글로벌 서비스-러닝 사례연구: 국내외 난민을 중심으로

A Case Study on Global Service-Learning in University Education: focusing on refugees at home and abroad

본 연구는 대학에서 난민을 주제로 글로벌 서비스-러닝(GS-L: Global Service-Learning)을 운영한 사례연구이다. 코로나 19로 해외현장을 직접 찾아갈수 없는 GS-L의 대안으로, A대학교에서는 2021년 동계방학에 난민 주제로 봉사활동을 준비하여 실행하고 평가하는 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 난민 주제에대한 이해와 공감을 위한 교육으로 전문가 특강과 주제탐색 워크숍을 설계하고, 봉사 활동 준비를 위한 활동별 특강과 프로그램 개발워크숍을 설계하여 운영하였다. 협력기관인 난민구호단체에서 한국어와 영어를 목적어로 한 외국어 수업과미술치료, 학습지도 활동을 요청하였으며, 관련된 수업의 교수들이 참여하고, 관련된 수업의 수강생이나 전공 학생을 우선적으로 선발하였다. 대학생들은 해외난민을 대상으로 비대면 줌 미팅을 사용하여 외국어 수업과 미술치료를 실시하고, 국내 난민에게는 대면 학습 멘토링 봉사 및 SNS 난민 옹호 활동으로 디자인제작 봉사 활동을 실시하였다. 참여 대학생들은 글로벌 시민 의식이 함양되고, 자신의 진로를 탐색하는데 많은 성장을 보였다. 본 연구는 난민을 주제로 한 대면, 비대면 GS-L 운영 사례를 바탕으로, 학습 경험의 장을 전 세계로 확장하고, 새로운 교육적 가능성을 제시한 데에 의의가 있다.

This is a case study of Global Service-Learning(GS-L) in university with the theme aimed towards refugees. Due to COIVD-19 pandemic restrictions on oversea travel, an alternative GS-L educational program was developed to prepare, implement, and evaluate volunteer activities on the theme of refugees during the 2021 winter vacation. Special lectures by experts and thematic exploration workshops were designed and operated as education for understanding and empathy on refugee, and special lectures and program development workshops for each activity were designed and operated to prepare for volunteer activities. As the refugee relief organization requested Korean and English classes, art therapy, and learning mentoring, students who have taken the related courses were given priority in the selection process. University students conducted foreign language classes and art therapy using non-face-to-face Zoom meetings with overseas refugees, and for domestic refugees, face-to-face learning mentoring service, social media refugee advocacy activities, design production and volunteer activities were conducted. The participant students developed a sense of global citizenship and showed great growth in exploring their own career paths. This study is meaningful in expanding the field of learning experience to the world and presenting new educational possibilities based on the case of face-to-face and non-face-to-face GS-L focusing on the theme of refugees.
