제1장 동다송(東茶頌)에 나타난 다도정신에 관한 연구

A Study on the Dado's Spirit Appearing in the Dongdasong(東茶頌)

본 논문은 한국의 대표적인 다서(茶書)인 ‘동다송’(東茶頌)의 다도정신을 규명할 목적으로 쓰여졌다. 동다송의 다도정신을 분석하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 동다송에 나타난 세계관에 대한 이해가 전제되어야 한다. 동다송의 세계관은 동다송에 나타난 사회, 자연, 인간, 세계 등에 대한 인식체계를 말한다. 동다송의 세계관은 우선 다도를 단순히 행위작용으로만 보지 않고 다도에 분명한 의미를 부여하고 있다는 사실이다. 다음으로 동다송은 나와 자연은 상호 분리되어 있지 않고 상호 밀접한 관련성을 맺고 있다는 점을 강조하고 있다. 마지막으로 동다송은 차를 단순한 기호품으로 보지 않고 자기성찰과 자각의 수단으로 인식하고 있다는 점이다. 이런 점을 기초로 하여 동다송의 다도정신의 내용을 설명하면 첫째, 자연합일의 정신을 지적할 수 있다. 자연합일의 정신은 자연과 다도와 나를 동일선상에 놓고 파악하고 있다는 것이다. 다도는 나와 자연을 연결해주는 매개체로 보고 있다는 것이다. 둘째, 물아일체의 정신을 지적할 수 있다. 객관적인 존재인 나와 나 앞에 놓여 있는 객관적 존재의 일체인 대상 간의 합일을 의미한다. 마지막으로 동다송의 다도정신은 절대자유의 정신으로 규정할 수 있다. 절대자유의 정신은 경계심과 분별심에서 완전히 벗어난 상태를 말한다.

This thesis is a writing analysing the Dado's spririt of Dondasong. First of all, to analyse the Dado's sprit of Dongdasong is required for the understanding of world-view appearing in the Dongdasong. The Dongdasong's world-view is the cognition system on the society, nature, human being and world appearing in the Dongdasong. The Dongdasong's world-view is as follows. First, it is that it imbues Dado with special significance. Next, Dongdasong places emphasis on the interrelation of self and nature. Finally, Dongdasong regards tea(da) as the means for the self-examination and self-awareness. On this point, the contents of Dado's spirit appearing in Dongdasong is as followa. First, it indicates the spirit of nature-self oneness. Secondly, it is the spirit of external objects-self oneness. Finally, the Dado's spirit appearing in the Dongdasong is regulated as the absolute spirit. The absolute spirit is absence from the mind of wariness and distinction.
