1999년 이후 18년간 가금티푸스(Fowl Typhoid)의 발생양상에 대한 질병역학적 분석 연구

Study on the Epidemiological Analysis of Fowl Typhoid (FT) Outbreaks in Korea During the 18 Years Since 1999

This study was conducted to analyse the epidemiological characteristics of Fowl Typhoid(FT) disease outbreaks during the 18 years since 1999. A total of 1,373 cases of FT were reported according to the statistic data of the KAHIS, which was controlled by the APQA(Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency). Depending on this results, FT status among the domestic fowls had already been spreaded with nationwide since 1999 and also had explosively out-broken during the 4 years from 2000 to 2003. Based on the regional analysis data, both Jeon-Book and Jeon-Nam provinces were found as the most prevalent areas of FT and these two regions were also considered that the most strict prevention and eradication programs were needed in Korea. This study finally suggested that scientific surveillance studies are necessary for more sophisticate epidemiological analysis of FT in Korea.
