This study studies the furniture design process that can respond to the 4th industrial revolution era. Developing from the end of the 20th century The Internet and IT technologies have now united the whole world and brought about great changes to the industry as a whole. The development of digital technology and computer networks is creating new ideas and cultures. The fourth industrial revolution is having a great impact on the overall industry and culture. New cultures and philosophies are being created. Among the digital environments, the development of computer cyberspace and artificial intelligence are rapidly changing the industrial ecosystem in each field, such as software, digital content, games, advertising, and manufacturing. In particular, in the design field, an innovative phenomenon occurred in which the traditional design process and design philosophy were changed. Recently, along with the new term Metaverse, new digital works such as NFT (Non-Fungible Token) using blockchain technology have also appeared. In the field of furniture design, 3D digital technology and manufacturing technology have advanced. Against this background, this thesis studies furniture design methods and processes, design methods and cases using digital technologies such as computers, 3D scanners, 3D printers, and CNC machines. It also suggests the direction of furniture design with Korean design philosophy and identity
