The specific research results are as follows. First, the table of the Ming Dynasty in China is characterized by more high tables than low tables. Also, in the shape and structure of the table in the Ming Dynasty, the rectangular table top and the composition of the straight leg are typical features. Second, the decoration of table furniture in the Ming Dynasty is characterized by the expression of diversity and nature at the same time. In addition, the decoration of the table top and the decoration of the legs showed ‘no pattern’ the most, and it is possible to keep the naturalness of wood as much as possible in the Ming Dynasty table furniture. Third, the material of the Ming Dynasty table is characterized by mainly using wood. Also, among the various types of wood, ‘Dalbergia odorifera’ accounted for the largest proportion. Tables from the Ming Dynasty are mainly made of wood, but metal or stone are also used as auxiliary materials or decorative materials.
