서정 개념 논의의 지형과 시 교육적 쟁점

Landscaping Concepts of the Lyric and Issues in Poetry Education

목적: 본 연구는 시 교육에서 중심적 위상을 지니는 서정 논의의 개념과 실제 적용 양상을 재검토하고 향후 시 교육에서 서정 개념이 다루어져야 할 방향성의 쟁점을 논하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법: 서정 개념의 정의와 그 실제 양상의 기저에 있는 전제를 개념의 층위와 하위 요소로 나누어 검토하고, 가변적인 실체로서의 서정 개념의 변이를 공시적-통시적인 축을 교차하여 살펴보았다. 결과: 서정 개념의 전제 검토를 위해 우선 시의 본질로서의 서정성과 텍스트의 분류 체계로서의 서정 장르라는 두 층위의 혼용 양상을 역사성과 보편성의 차원에서 고찰하였다. 다음으로 서정시의 중심적인 하위 요소로 주체와 객체의 관계로서의 동일성, 개인 내면의 감정을 기반으로 하는 주관성, 미메시스와 허구성이 지니는 함의 세 가지를 도출하여 논의의 거점을 설정하였다. 마련한 논의의 틀에 따라 낭만주의적 서정의 시공간적 특수성 재조명, 미메시스적 서정이론이 지닌 중립성 탈피와 장르의 외연 설정, 포스트모더니즘과 포스트휴머니즘의 세계관에서 서정의 해체를 넘어선 재조립과 개별 작품의 의미 확보에 대해 논하였다. 결론: 본 연구는 시에 대한 장르 의식이 학습자의 이해-표현 및 삶의 양식으로서 보다 유의미하게 작용할 수 있도록 하는 서정 개념의 구심점과 그 확장의 방향성에 대한 논의의 기반을 마련하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to landscape the discussions of the concept of the lyric, which has a central position in poetry education. Methods: The general definition of the concept of lyricism and the premise underlying its practical aspects were reviewed by dividing it into two layers and sub-elements of the concept, and the concept of the lyric as a variable entity was examined by crossing the synchronic and diachronic axes. Results: Firstly, Two layers of the lyric concept were reconsidered: lyricism as an essential characteristic of poetry and lyric genre as a text classification system. Secondly, the central sub-elements of the lyric were derived into three categories, establishing a base for discussion: identity as a relationship between subject and object, subjectivity focused on inner feelings of the individual, and the implications of mimesis and fictionality. In accordance with the framework of discussion, re-examining the spatio-temporal specificity of romantic lyricism, breaking away from neutrality and setting boundary of the genre, re- assembling lyricism beyond the dissolution of postmodernism and pos- thumanism were discussed. Conclusion: This study laid the foundation for discussion on the key point of the concept of the lyric and the direction of its expansion so that the genre consciousness of poetry can act more significantly as a learner’s mode of life.
