감상과 향유 역량 함양을 위한 초등 미디어 리터러시 교육 내용 연구

목적: 본 연구는 초등학생들의 ‘감상과 향유’ 역량 함양을 위한 초등 미디어 리터러시 교육 내용을 설계하고, 시사점을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법: 미디어 리터러시 교육에서 감상과 향유 역량의 개념 및 특징을 밝히기 위해 선행 연구와 논의를 분석했다. 개발되어 있는 학생들의 감상과 향유 역량 지원을 위한 교수·학습 자료를 분석하여 미디어 리터러시 교육의 감상과 향유 역량 교육 내용의 구성 방향에 관한 시사점을 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 감상과 향유 역량 함양을 위한 초등학교 학년(군)별 미디어 리터러시 교육 내용 범주 및 하위 내용 요소를 설계하였다. 결과: ‘감상과 향유’ 역량 함양을 위한 교육 내용 설계는 학생들이 디지털 미디어 콘텐츠를 올바르게 이해하고 평가하는 능력, 미디어 생활과 일상생활의 균형을 위해 의미 있는 미디어 생활을 소유하고 누리는 능력을 지원하기 위해 설계되어야 한다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 미디어 리터러시 역량 중, 감상과 향유 역량의 개념과 특징을 상세히 제시하였다. 또한, 학생들의 미디어 리터러시의 감상과 향유 역량 함양을 위한 다섯 가지 교육 내용 범주와 각각의 범주에 관한 초등학교 학년(군)별 하위 내용 요소를 도출하여 설계안을 제안하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to design the contents of elementary school media literacy education for cultivating elementary school students' ‘appreciation and enjoyment’ competency and to reveal implications. Methods: Previous studies and discussions were analyzed to elucidate the concept and characteristics of appreciation and enjoyment competency in media literacy education. By analyzing teaching/learning materials to support students' appreciation and enjoyment competency, implications for the compositional direction of media literacy education’s appreciation and enjoyment competency were derived. Based on this, media literacy education content categories and sub-content elements were designed for each elementary school grade to cultivate the ability to appreciate and enjoy. Results: Among the various competencies for cultivating learners’ media literacy, the educational content for cultivating the ‘appreciation and enjoy- ment’ competencies possesses the ability to correctly understand and evaluate digital media content, as well as a meaningful media life for the balance between media life and daily life. Conclusion: Through this discussion, the concept and characteristics of appreciation and enjoyment competency among media literacy competencies were clarified, and five content categories and sub-content elements for each category were derived for each category.
