새말을 매개로 한 국어교육 내·외 통합 학습 수업 설계

Design Internal·External Integrated Class of Korean Language Education through New Words

목적：본고는 ‘새말’의 교육적 효용성에 방점을 두고 그것을 매개로 한 통합 수업을 설계하는 데 목표를 두었다. 방법：이에 각 교과를 분석하여, ‘국어 교과’의 ‘문법, 화법, 매체’ 영역과 ‘사회·문화 교과’에서 새말을 학습 내용(제재)으로 구성하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이런 결과를 바탕으로, 핵심 역랑 신장을 중심으로 한 통합 수업 과정을 설계하였다. 먼저 ‘의사소통 역량, 대인·공동체 역량’은 새말의 구조를 분석하여 생성 원리를 탐구하도록 하였다. 그 과정에서 세대 간의 언어 문화적 특징을 공동체 의식과 대인 관계 관점에서 이해하는 데 중점을 두었다. 그런 후에 새말 사용의 장점과 단점을 되돌아보는 ‘성찰지’를 작성하도록 하였다. 다음으로 ‘비판·창의적 역량, 문화 향유 역량’은 비하·혐오적인 어휘를 순화하여 새말을 만들어 보고 새로운 개념(생각)을 표현하기 위한 단어를 만들어보는 활동을 하도록 하였다. 마지막으로 학습자들이 새로 만들었거나 순화한 단어(말)를 활용하여 문장 이상의 단위인 홍보 문이나 메일 등을 작성해 보도록 하였다. 결과 및 결론：이상과 같은 수업 설계는 학습자들에게 핵심 역량을 신장시켜 줌으로써 ‘통합형 인재 양성’을 추구하는 ‘2015 교육과정’의 취지를 제고할 것으로 기대하였다.

Purpose：This paper focuses on the educational utility of ‘new word’ and aims to design an integrated class using it as a medium, based on the results that new words were used as educational materials in the “Korean Language” and the “Social and Culture”. Methods：To this end, for the development of the core strength, communication competence and interpersonal/community competence’ are designed to be enhanced by analyzing the structure of new words and exploring the principle of creation. Then, I ask to write the “reflection paper” focusing on the new words. Next, the “critical/creative competence and cultural enjoyment competence” are conducted to create new words by purifying foreign words, demeaning, and hate expressions, as well as creating words to express new concepts. Finally, it is designed so that learners could use newly created or purified words to create promotional text or e-mail that requires more than sentences. Results & Conclusion：Class design as described above is expected to enhance the purpose of the “2015 Curriculum” that pursues “integrative talent training” by nurturing core competences for learners.
