한국인 모어 화자와 우즈베키스탄 유학생의 조언 화행 비교 연구

A Comparative Study on the Advice-Giving Speech Act of Korean Native Speakers and Uzbekistan Students in Korea

목적：이 연구의 목적은 조언 화행의 범주적 위상을 공고히 하고, 한국어 모어 화자와 우즈베키스탄 한국어 학습자 집단의 조언 화행 수행 양상에서 드러나는 언어적 전략 차이를 논의하는 것이다. 방법：먼저 선행 연구에 근거하여 조언 화행을 설정하고, 이를 주화행과 보조화행으로 나누어 각각의 언어적 전략을 제시하였다. 그리고 모어 화자와 학습자 각각 25명을 대상으로 담화 완성형 과제(DCT)와 유사 회고적 보고 실험(RNVR)을 통해 조언 화행의 수행 양상을 비교하였다. 결과：모어 화자와 달리 학습자 집단은 사회적 거리보다 상황에 대한 심각성이 조언 화행의 수행에 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 또한 모어 화자와 학습자 집단은 상황의 심각성에 대한 인식 정도가 다른 것으로 드러났다. 보조화행의 경우 학습자 집단은 모어 화자와 달리 사용률이 매우 낮았으며 사용 양상을 살펴본 결과 화용적 실패를 겪을 확률이 높아 보였다. 결론：이 연구를 통하여 본고는 유학생 대상의 상담 프로그램이나 교·강사들의 피드백이 문화 특수적 관점을 고려해야 한다는 점과 수업 운영에 있어서 실제성 있는 자료를 사용하려는 노력이 좀더 필요함을 강조하였다.

Purpose：The purpose of this study was to set the advice-giving speech act as a subcategory of the directive speech act and discuss the differences in the pragmatic strategies revealed in the advice-giving targeting a group of Korean speakers(KS) and Uzbekistan students(US). Methods：Firstly, the advise-giving speech act was set based on prior research. And then pragmatic strategies of the advice-giving were compared with the DCT and RNVR for each of the 25 KS and US. Results：It showed that 1) unlike the KS, the US, solidarity was found to affect the advice-giving speech act rather than social distance. 2) KS and US were found to have different levels of perception of the solidarity of the situations. 3) Unlike the KS, the U.S. had a very low utilization rate of its supportive move, which could result in a pragmatic failure. Conclusion：It is necessary to consider more cultural perspectives when running counseling programs for international students or when instructors give feedback for them. It is also necessary to use more practical materials in the classroom to enhance their pragmatic competence.
