이 연구는 최근 한국어교육 분야의 읽기 연구를 수집·검토하여 성과를 정리하고, 향후 한국어교육 읽기 연구의 방향을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2016년 6월까지 발표된 읽기 논문 269편(석·박사 학위논문 181편, 학술지 논문 88편)을 수집하여 연도 및 간행 유형, 연구 방법, 연구 주제, 학습자 변인에 따라 분류하였다. 그 결과 매년 30~40편의 연구가 이루어지고 있었으며, 학위논문의 경우 분석과 조사 방법을 사용한 연구와 ‘교수 및 학습’, ‘교재 및 자료’에 관한 연구가 주를 이루고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 반면, 학술지 논문은 연구 방법과 주제별 분석에서 모두 고른 분포를 보였다. 학습자 변인으로는 중급이상의 학문 목적 학습자를 대상으로 한 연구가 절반 이상이었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 바탕으로 한국어교육 읽기 연구의 몇 가지 문제점을 지적하고 향후 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to overall reading research of recent Korean language education area carefully to organize its achievement, and suggest reading research direction of Korean language education and assignment in the future. In order to accomplish this research purpose, 181 thesis papers for master and doctoral degree, 88 thesis in academic journal, total 269 thesis from 2010 to June, 2016 have been collected and categorized by issued year, type of publication, research method, research theme, and learner factor. As a result of that, over 40 thesis paper have been constantly studied every year, and over 60% of them were master’s thesis. Also, most of studies are about ‘teaching and learning’ and ‘textbook and material’. And, the study targeting at Chinese speaking learner for academic purpose is actively ongoing. Based on this results, it examined the limit of the study, it pointed out several problems and suggested reading research direction of Korean language education in the future.
