이 연구는 문제중심학습(PBL)을 활용한 사범대학 ‘국어평가방법론’ 교과목의 운영 사례를 구체적으로 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. M대학교 국어교육과 4학년 교과목으로 운영한 ‘국어평가방법론’은 ‘변형된 PBL(문제 인식하기→문제 초점화하기→해결 방법 탐색하기→문제 해결 및 점검하기→일반화하기)’로 실행하였다. 개발한 평가 도구는 ① 수행평가 평가 도구(서답형), ② 논술형 평가 도구, ③ 고부담 독서 시험 도구(선택형)이다. 이 대학 전공 교육과정 교과목 운영을 통하여 기존에 이루어지던 교과목 운영보다 개선된 사항은 ① 명료한 국어과 평가 목적 인식, ② 평가 계획 수립 및 평가 도구 개발의 창의적 문제해결역량 신장, ③ 평가를 통하여 국어사용 능력을 신장하는 교수·학습 과정의 선도적 체험 자료 활용, ④ 전공 교육과정에 대한 참여도, 수업 만족도 제고 및 M대학교의 인재상에 부합하는 전공 교육과정의 양적·질적 개선 유도, ⑤ 국어교육과를 포함한 타 학과 사범대학 전공 교육과정의 새로운 교수법 모델을 제공하였다.
The purpose of this study was to specify the cases of operating college of education the subject ‘Assessment Methodology of Korean Language’ using PBL. For this purpose, a teaching-learning course was designed and implemented on the basis of modified PBL for ‘Assessment Methodology of Korean Language’, which had been operated as the department of Korean language education, M University. The evaluation tools developed with PBL through the experiential base of learners included a performance assessment tool, an essay test tool, and a high-stakes reading test tool. By operating this subject in the major curriculum, the existing subject operation was improved as follows：① the objective of assessment at the department of Korea was clearly understood; ② ‘creative problem-solving competency’ to make an evaluation plan and develop an evaluation tool has been enhanced; ③ proactive experiential data were generated for the teaching-learning course suitable for improving the ability to use Korean correctly; ④ active participation in the major curriculum, and instructional satisfaction have been enhanced and an opportunity to induce quantitative and qualitative improvement in the curriculum for the department of Korean language education that met the image of talented persons in M University was given; ⑤ a new teaching model was provided for major curriculums at other departments in the college of education.
