서사 창작을 위한 발상으로서 장면 구성 교육 연구

Study on Scene Construction Education as an Idea for Writing of Narrative

이 연구는 서사 창작을 위한 발상 과정으로 장면 구성에 대해 논의하였다. 장면이란 시각을 중심으로 다양한 감각이 복합된 심적 영상을 의미한다. 장면 구성은 모종의 시공간과 인물, 사건들을 엮어 시각화된 심적 영상으로 의식 속에 그려내는 과정이다. 장면 구성을 서사 창작의 발상 과정에 도입하면, ‘쓸 거리’의 생성 및 정교화에 기여할 수 있다. 이에 따라 장면 구성의 교육적 가능성을 타진해보고자 하였다. 먼저 인지 과학적 논의를 토대로 상상력과 장면 구성 간의 관계를 이론적으로 탐색하였다. 그리고 전문 작가의 창작 과정을 담은 텍스트를 분석하여 장면 구성의 원리를 추출하였다. 장면 구성의 원리로는 ‘과거 경험의 영상적 재생’, ‘상이한 경험을 편집적 결합’, ‘인물의 내면 및 행위에 대한 도상적 사고 실험’ 등 이다. 이러한 원리를 토대로 장면 구성을 지도할 수 있는 교육 방안을 제안하였다. 교육 방안으로는 ‘친숙한 경험의 활용’, ‘시각적 영상화에 필요한 자료 조사 실시’, ‘문학교실에서의 횡적·종적 대화’ 등이 있다. 마지막으로 서사 창작을 발상으로서 장면 구성의 교육적 가치에 대해 논의하였다. 장면 구성의 교육적 가치는 ‘내용 생성 과정의 용이성 확보’, ‘발상의 정교화 및 구체화’, ‘서사 창작 방법의 이론적 심화’ 등이 있다.

This study discussed the scene construction as a idea process for narrative writing. A scene is a mental image centering on the visual. Scene construction is a process of drawing visualized mental image by interweaving time and space, characters, and events. The scene construction can contribute to the creation and elaboration of content. First, the relationship between imagination and scene construction was theoretically searched based on cognitive science discussion. And we extracted the principle of scene construction by analyzing the text of the creation process of a professional artist. The principles of scene construction are ‘visual reproduction of past experience’, ‘editative combination of different experience’, ‘graphical thought experiment on inner and behavior of person’. And we proposed a teaching method to guide the scene construction. Educational options include ‘utilizing familiar experiences’, ‘conducting data research necessary for visual imagery’, and ‘horizontal and longitudinal dialogue in literary classrooms’. Finally, I discussed the educational value of the scene construction. Educational value of scene construction is ‘securing easiness of contents creation process’, ‘elaboration and refinement of idea’, and ‘theoretical deepening of narrative method’.
