제1장 풍류도의 내용과 의미에 관한 연구

A Study on the Contents and Meanings of Pyungryudo(風流道)

한국사상의 근원으로서 풍류도에 대한 연구는 매우 미진한 상태이다. 이러한 이유는 여러 가지가 있겠지만 무엇보다도 자료의 소실로 인한 자료의 부족에 있다. 그러나 우리 민족의 뿌리사상인 풍류도에 대한 올바른 이해 없이는 결코 한국사상에 대한 올바른 이해는 불가능하다. 풍류도는 단군사상을 기원으로 하여 단군사상을 보다 체계화하고 현실화한 우리 민족의 고유한 사상이다. 풍류도는 우리 민족의 성품인 민족성을 그대로 반영해주고 있다는 점에서 우리 민족의 가장 핵심적인 전통사상이다. 풍류도의 내용과 성격을 다양하게 접근할 수 있지만 필자는 크게 네 가지로 분류하여 분석하고 있다. 첫째, 풍류도는 천인합일의 사상성을 지니고 있다. 우리 민족은 하늘과 인간의 결합을 통한 분명한 신관과 천관을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 풍류도는 조상에 대한 신성사상이라고 할 수 있다. 우리 민족은 조상에 대한 존숭의 염이 그 어느 민족보다도 강하다고 할 수 있다. 셋째, 풍류도는 접화군생의 원대한 생명주의와 평화적 원융사상을 지니고 있었다. 마지막으로 풍류도는 어느 것에도 구속되지 않는 자유무애의 길을 추구하였다. 이러한 풍류도의 정신과 사상성은 시대를 뛰어넘어 오늘날 우리 민족이 나아갈 길과 지켜야 할 정신을 제공해주고 있다는 점에서 매우 주목된다고 하겠다.

This study attends to analyse the contents and meanings of Pyungryudo. Until now, the study on Pyungryudo as the origin of Korean thought is not sufficient. This lack of study comes from the material shortage owing to the material disappearance. But without the right understanding on the Pyungryudo, We are impossible to understand well the Korean thought.Pyungryudo is the core indigenous thought in that it reflects our people's nationality. I clssified Pyungryudo into four contents. First, Pyungryudo has the ideal character of the unity of the heaven and the man(天人合一). Our people had the concret view of the heaven and God through the unity the heaven and the man. Secondly, I asserts that Pyungryudo is the holly thought about ancestor. Our people is a strong sense of the ancestor's reverence compared with other peoples. Thirdly, Pyungryudo had a great pacifism and peaceful integrational thought through Juphwagunsang(接化群生). Finally, Pyungryudo seeks for the road of Jayou-muae(自由無涯), the entire free situation.
