본 연구의 목적은 방송언어의 사용 실태를 조사·분석하여 우리말 훼손의 심각성을 보여줌으로써 올바른 방송언어 개선의 필요성을 제기하기 위해 보다 객관적이고 보편적인 판단 기준을 위한 방송언어의 청정 지수를 개발하는 데 있다. 방송언어의 청정 지수 개발을 위해 4개의 평가 요소와 10개의 진단 기준인 ‘공정성, 품격성, 용이성, 정확성’을 설정하여 75개의 설문 문항을 통해 방송언어에 대한 인식조사를 실시하였으며, 각 문항에 대한 허용도는 5점 리커트(likert)를 활용하였다. 분석 대상은 2013년도 6월, 9월과 2014년도 6월, 9월에 방영한 MBC ‘무한도전’, KBS ‘1박2일’, SBS ‘정글의 법칙, MBC ‘아빠 어디가’, KBS ‘해피투게더’, SBS ‘런닝맨’과 JTBC ‘유자식 상팔자’와 MBN ‘아궁이’로 총 8개의 동일한 오락 프로그램을 선정하여 진단 항목에 따른 오류 빈도수를 산출하였다. 방송언어 인식에 대한 항목별 가중치를 구하고, 각 프로그램별 오류 빈도수를 반영하여 청정 지수가 어떤 방식으로 산출되는지 구체적으로 기술하여 프로그램별 등급을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this research is to establish the objective standard, ‘linguistic cleanliness Index’, which makes it able to evaluate the actual condition of entertaining broadcasting language. evaluation factor of cleanliness index of broadcast language was set up by co mprehensive data followed by analysis of survey results. 75 questionaires comprise was composed of the evaluation factor of cleanliness index such as fairness, dignity, availability, accuracy. In the mean time, permissible range of each question made it possible to be answered by using 5 points Likert standard. gained data related to the actual condition of three public broadcasting was compared between data of June and September of 2013 and those of 2014 for seven months, from April to January of 2013. Investigation figure compared one another was used for calculation of Cleanliness index. The cleanliness Index developed by follwed steps above was applied to the real world broadcast program and then, itemized rating of index and overall rating levels were finally proposed.
