장애인의 평생교육 참여 경험 및 요구 조사 : 부산광역시 S, Y구를 중심으로

A Study on the Participation Experience and Needs of Lifelong Education of the Disabled: Focusing on S and Y Districts of Busan Metropolitan City

연구목적: 장애인들의 평생교육 참여 경험과 평생교육에 대한 요구사항을 알아보는 것이다. 연구방법: 부산광역시 S구와 Y구에 거주하는, 평생교육을 받은 경험이 있는 장애인 83명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 장애인들은 대부분 장애인복지시설에서 평생교육을 받고 있으며, 참여 목적은 개인적인 관심(여가 선용 및 취미활동)이 가장 많았고, 평생교육프로그램 선택시 프로그램의 흥미를 가장 많이 고려하고 있었다. 평생교육 영역 중에서는 문화예술교육에 가장 많이 참여하고 있었다. 평생교육 전반에 대한 만족도는 높았으며, 평생교육 참여를 통해서 정보습득, 학습욕구, 자신감과 적극성, 자립생활, 사회적 관계, 삶의 질의 향상되었다고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 평생교육에 대한 요구로서 장애인에게 적합한 교육 프로그램 개선, 통학 지원에 대한 요구가 많았으며, 장애인 평생교육 전문기관이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 논의: 장애인의 평생교육 참여 경험과 요구에 대한 실천적인 지원 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the experiences of participation in lifelong education of the disabled and the requirements for lifelong education. Method: A survey was conducted with 83 persons with disabilities who had experience of lifelong education living in S and Y districts of Busan Metropolitan City. Results: First, most people with disabilities participated in lifelong education at welfare facilities for the disabled, and the purpose of participation was personal interest(leisure and hobbies) the most, and the interest of the program was considered the most when selecting a lifelong education program. Among the lifelong education fields, the highest participation rate was in culture and art education. Satisfaction with the overall lifelong education was high, and it was recognized that information acquisition, learning needs, confidence and activeness, independent living, social relationships, and quality of life were improved through participation in lifelong education. Most of the people with disabilities wanted to participate in leisure, recreation, cultural activities, and sports. Second, as a demand for lifelong education, the most requested improvement of education programs suitable for the disabled and transportation assistance. In addition, people with disabilities thought that it was necessary for an institution specializing in lifelong education for the disabled. Discussion: Practical support measures were discussed based on the experiences and needs of lifelong education participation by the disabled.
