독서의 가치에 대한 비판적 소고

A Critical Reflection of Reading Value

본고는 독서의 가치에 대한 근원적인 탐구에 초점을 두고 있다. 학교 현장에서 독서의 가치는 그 중요성이 날로 더해지고 있다. 하지만 정작 학교 현장에서 그 독서의 가치가 설득력 있게 혹은 유의미하게 학습자들에게 받아들여지고 있는지는 의문이다. 이런 문제의식을 바탕으로 본고는 최근 몇몇 국어과 교육과정과 교과서에 제시된 독서의 가치 양상을 비판적으로 고찰하였다. 제시된 독서의 가치 양상은 매우 개괄적이고 원론적인 수준에 그치고 있어 보다 근원적인 모색이 요구됨을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본고는 ‘몰입, 치유, 소통’을 독서의 가치에 대한 시론적 성격의 대안으로 고찰하고자 한다.

This paper focuses an authentic study about reading value. A reading value is to become more important in a school. But the value is not persuasively and meaningfully received in a school. The paper investigated some korean language curriculums and reading subjects with this critical mind. A presented aspect of reading value was very general and superficial. So the more authentic study is needed. Finally the paper investigated reading value in the viewpoint of ‘flow, communication, healing’.
