다문화 교육을 위한 ‘문학’ 교과서 개선 방안 연구

Study on Literature Textbook Improve Methods for the Multi-culture Education

이 연구는 다문화 교육을 위한 ‘문학’ 교과서 개선 방안에 관한 논의로 학교 교육에서 고려되어야 하며 실현 가능한 다문화 교육을 제안하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 다문화 교육을 위해 현행 ‘문학’ 교과서의 다문화적 요소를 분석하고, 분석의 내용을 토대로 하여 학교 교육에서 실현 가능한 ‘문학’ 교과서의 구성 방안을 구상해 보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 현재 고등학교에서 사용되고 있는 문학 교과서 12종의 현대시와 현대소설을 중심으로 다문화적 기준에 따라 분석하여 분류하고, 다문화 교육적 측면에서 파악할 때 나타나는 문제점을 학습목표, 단원 및 제재 구성, 학습활동 면에서 파악한 후, 대안 제시의 방법으로 기존의 작품 활용, 다문화 관련 작품 활용, 고전 문학 활용, 국내외의 최근 작품 활용 등으로 고민해 보았다. 연구의 범위가 한정적이고 한계가 있어 다문화 교육의 전반적 방향성 확대나 문학 교육에서의 다문화 교육적 기반 확보에 기여하는 데 한계가 있지만, 향후 문학 교육이 다문화 교육의 인식 형성과 발전의 방향에서 기초적 역할을 담당하는데 작은 밑거름이 되는 연구이기를 바란다.

This study should be considered in school education debates about literature textbook for multi-cultural education and is composed of aims for suggesting feasible multi-cultural education. This study is to analyse the multi-cultural factors in the present literature textbooks and to design a method of construction in the textbooks which can be applied in the classroom for the multi-cultural education. Examined and classified mainly the parts of contemporary poems and novels from the 12 different textbooks which are used in high schools today, the problems in the aspect of the multi-cultural education are comprehended for the learning goals, unit structure, and the learning activity and then the solutions are suggested in application of texts in use, texts about multi-culture, classical literatures, and latest works in and outside country. I hope this study may serve as a small stepping stone in that the literature education does the basic role to form and improve the social consensus on the multi-cultural education henceforward.
