본고의 목적은 사이시옷과 의미관계의 상관성을 밝히는 것이다. 2장에서는 형태적 특성을 가지는 어휘들을 소개하였다. 이들은 불규칙한 사이시옷 현상에서 규칙적인 모습을 보인다. 여기에는 (ⅰ) ‘ㅅ’후치명사, (ⅱ) ‘ㅅ’전치명사, (ⅲ) 非‘ㅅ’후치명사, (ⅳ) 非‘ㅅ’전치명사 등이 속한다. 3장에서는 의미관계를 새롭게 정립하고, 의미관계와 사이시옷의 관련성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 합성어의 배열 방식이 통사적 구성인가 비통사적 구성인가에 따라 사이시옷의 삽입 요인이 달라지는 점을 확인하였다.
The purpose of this study is to find out a corelation between the Saisiot and semantic relation. Chapter 2 introduced free words that have morphological specific. These show us the regular form in the irregular Saisiot phenomena. These contain (ⅰ) ‘ㅅ’postposition noun, (ⅱ) ‘ㅅ’preposition noun, (ⅲ) non‘ㅅ’postposition noun, (ⅳ) non‘ㅅ’preposition noun. Chapter 3 established new semantic relation and examine a corelation between the Saisiot and semantic relation. Consequently, the factor of epenthesis of Saisiot is changed according to the compound combination method, whether it is syntatic structure or nonsyntatic structure.
