한국과 중국이 공유하고 있는 한자어의 발음 전환 과정에서 규칙과 차이를 밝힘으로써, 이를 한국어 교육에서 응용하고자 하였다. 먼저 한자어의 발음에 나타나는 음가를 유형화하여 대비하여 보았다. 다음으로는 중국어 병음과 한글의 자모의 음가를 대비함으로써 상호간의 유사성과 차이를 밝혔다. 이와 같은 기초 작업을 토대로 <어음 전환 규칙을 활용한 한자어 발음 지도 모형>을 ‘인지 → 적용 → 일반화’의 3단계로 구안하였다. 이와 같이 한자어의 어음 전환 규칙을 사용함으로써 한자어로 된 어휘에 대해서는 보다 쉽고 정확하게 발음을 학습하고 해당 어휘를 기억할 수 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 한국어 학습을 시작하는 중국 학생들에게 응용될 수 있고, 역으로 한국 학생이 중국어 어휘를 학습하는 데도 유용하게 응용될 수 있다.
The purpose of the study is to present a pedagogical model for Korean language education for Chinese students by identifying general rules underlying the pronunciation conversion processes of some Chinese character vocabulary that exists both in Korean and Chinese. For that purpose, the phonetic values of Chinese words were firstly classified into several categories. Secondly, a comparative analysis was made to examine phonetic differences and similarities that exist between the sound of the alphabet of Chinese and that of Korean (Hangul). Finally, drawing on the pronunciation conversion rule and the comparative analysis, a pedagogical model of Chinese character pronunciation instruction was presented. The three-phase pedagogical model that represents the progression of “cognition → application → generalization” is expected to promote more accurate pronunciation of Chinese character vocabulary and enhance better retention of the words. This model can be applied to Korean language instruction for Chinese students. It will be also useful for Chinese vocabulary instruction for Korean students.
