교사의 동기 전략에 대한 학습자의 인식이 동기와 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향

The Impact of Student Perceptions of Teacher Motivation Strategies on Student Motivation and Achievement

본 연구는 교사가 사용한 동기전략에 대한 한국어 학습자들의 인식이 학습자들의 동기와 그에 따른 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 교사가 사용한 동기전략에 대한 학습자들의 인식과 그들의 정의적 요인을 측정하기 위해 Bernaus 와 Gardner(2008)에서 제시한 설문지를 사용하였고, 학업 성취도의 측정은 수도권 소재 A대학교에서 실행된 한국어 레벨테스트를 활용하였다. 분석한 결과 교사가 사용한 동기전략에 대한 학습자들의 인식은 학습자 동기와 서로 유의한 상관관계를 가지지 않은 반면, 교사가 사용한 동기전략에 대한 학습자들의 인식과 그들의 학업 성취도는 부정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다.

The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of students’ perceptions of teacher motivation strategies on student motivation and achievement. This paper employed Bernaus and Gardner(2008)’s tool to measure the students’ perceptions and affective factors. Measuring instrument for academic achievement is done by the result of Korean language level test by foreigners, which is taken at the end of every semester at K University. Statistically speaking, students` general perceptions rarely have meaningful correlation with motivation, and achievement shows negative correlation with their perceptions of teachers’ strategies.
