이 연구는 일간 신문의 언어 오류 양상에 대하여 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 대중매체인 신문은 수용자에게 새로운 정보를 제공하며, 즐겁게 하고, 계도하여 여론을 형성하는 구실을 한다. 신문에 쓰인 언어는 불특정 다수의 수많은 독자에게 국어 습득과 학습, 가치 체계 형성에 지대한 영향을 끼치는 것이 사실이다. 이 연구는 신문의 언어 오류 양상에서 ‘형태에 관한 것’으로 ‘어미, 접미사, 준말’, ‘띄어쓰기 규정 준수 여부’로 ‘조사, 의존 명사, 단위를 나타내는 명사 및 열거하는 말’, ‘문장 부호의 오용 여부’로는 ‘마침표, 쉼표’ 등에 대해서 고찰하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 우리말 관련 신문 언어들이 더욱 짜임새 있는 형식을 통해 올바르고 정확한 내용이 전달될 수 있기를 기대한다.
