공식적 말하기 교육내용 고찰

Critical Review of the Contents of Public Speaking Education Contents

학교에서 학생들은 자기의 생각이나 의견을 표현할 기회를 자주 갖게 되지만, 어떠한 방식으로 말해야 하는가를 체계적이고 구체적으로 지도받지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 공식적 말하기의 특징을 살피고, 제7차 국어과 교육과정 상에 나와있는 말하기 교육내용을 살펴보았다. 공식적 말하기에 관한 내용은 내용생성이나 내용조직 면에서 일반적인 내용을 다루고 있었고 표현 방법에 관한 구체적인 내용은 찾아보기 힘들었다. 그래서 공식적 말하기 내용을 구조화하기 위해 말하기 유형별로 말하기 내용을 제시하는 것과 서재철의 논의에 따라 언어구사능력, 논리적 조직 능력, 심적 전달 능력에 따라 구조화하는 방안을 제시하였다. 그러나 무엇보다 중요한 것은 학생들의 공식적인 말하기 실태에 대한 연구를 토대로 학생들에게 필요한 내용을 구조화하여 제시할 필요가 있다. 따라서 학생들의 말하기 실태를 파악한 후 학생들에게 필요한 말하기 교육을 정선해야 하며 이러한 연구들이 활발히 이루어지도록 제도적 뒷받침이 필요하다.

Students have opportunities to express their thoughts and ideas, bur they didn't systematically and concretely learn how to speak in school. So I inspect the characteristics of public speaking and the contents of speaking education in the 7th korean curriculum. The contents of public speaking education have mainly general contents about the way of express to create and organize, but little concrete contents of it. So I suggest that the contents of public speaking education are presented by speaking types and constructed of the ability to use language, the ability to organize a message logically and the psychological communication competence according to Seo, Jae Cheol's idea. Most of all, we should study about student's public speaking realities and structure the contents of public speaking education based on it. So it needs that we systematically support the studies about it.
