국어과 교육내용의 위계 설정과 관련된 문제

The considerations for the hierarchical curriculum design in Korean Language Education

국어과 교육내용의 위계를 설정하기 위해서는 교육내용과 학습경험을 구분하여 이해하는 것이 유의하다. 교육내용을 학습경험과 구분하면 실제로부터 추상화된 교육내용을 그 자체로서 다룰 수 있고 상하 관계의 설정도 가능하다. 교육내용의 위계를 설정하기 위해서는 내용을 분석하고 분절하는 과정이 불가피하다. 능력은 통째로 가르칠 수 없는 것이므로 그 능력의 어떤 요소를 어떤 단위로 나누어 교육할 것인지를 고려해야 한다. 제 7차 국어과 교육과정과 이를 개정한 개정안 국어과 교육과정에서 교육내용의 분석과 분절 양상을 살펴 보았다. 두 경우 모두 지식이나 태도의 측면에서는 조작적 위계를 취하고 있었으며 기능의 측면에서는 인지적 과정에 따른 하위 과정을 분석하고 이를 하나씩 독립적으로 분절하는 방식으로 위계를 설정하고 있었다. 교육내용의 위계를 설정하는 데는 하위 내용을 조절하는 문제도 관련된다. 국어과에서 교육내용의 위계 설정은 논리적으로 가지런하지 못하더라도 유연하고 상대적인 접근이 필요하다. 제 7차 국어과 교육과정과 개정안 교육과정 모두 교육적 가치와 현실의 필요에 따라 위계의 차원 설정이 달라지고 내용의 범위가 축소, 통합, 확장되어 하위 내용화 되는 모습을 나타나 있었다.

Studies on the hierarchical curriculum design in Korean language education has not been detailed. This study proposed several considerations with relation to the hierarchy of educational contents in Korean language arts. The first consideration is that the discrimination between the educational contents and the learning experiences is required to design to hierarchical curriculum in Korean language arts. The second consideration is that it needs to the process of analysis and section to holistic content. It revealed that the 7th Korean Curriculum and the Revised Korean Curriculum have the manipulative hierarchy in educational content system. The final consideration is that it is desirable to adjust content with accordance to not the subject's logic but the actual needs. It exposed that the 7th Korean Curriculum and the Revised Korean Curriculum have the flexible subcontents in content hierarchy.
