한국어 학습 시 나타나는 말레이시아인 학습자의 특성

A Study on Characteristics of Malaysian Learners during the Korean Language Learning: Focused on Grammatical Errors

이제까지 한국어 교육의 대상은 주로 일본인, 중국인이었으나 요즘은 다양한 국적의 학습자들이 한국어를 배우고 있다. 이들 학습자의 언어에 따라 한국어를 배우는 데에 많은 차이가 있다. 따라서 학습자들의 모국어에 따라 한국어 교육의 방법에도 차이가 있게 마련이다. 이 글은 말레이시아인 한국어 학습자들이 한국어를 학습하면서 자주 일으키는 오류를 살핌으로써 그들이 지니고 있는 특성이 무엇인가를 알아보려고 한다. 이를 바탕으로 말레이시아인 학습자들이 한국어를 학습할 때 어떤 것을 어려워하는지도 알 수 있을 것이다. 이런 결과는 말레이시아인 한국어 학습자를 교수할 때 이용되어 효율적인 교육 방안을 제시하는 밑바탕이 될 것이다.

Up to now, typical learners of Korean language have been mainly Japanese and Chinese. But recently, various nationalities of learners are learning Korean language. Generally, Korean language learning pattern depends on the learner's mother language. So, Korean language teaching methodology should be developed considering the characteristics of learner's mother language. In this paper, typical errors of Malaysian learners during studying Korean language are surveyed and analyzed. Malaysian tend to make errors when learning Korean language which belongs to different language family from their own. Especially, they frequently make various errors when using particles and/or ending words. Also it is very difficult for them to order the word properly. The results will be helpful to develop an efficient Korean language teaching methodology for Malaysian learners.
