‘정확성’ 중심 문법 교육관에 대한 반성적 고찰

A Reflective Study on correctness centered Grammar Education

본 연구의 목적은 기존의 문법 교육이 규범적 성격의 ‘정확성’ 중심 문법 교육관을 중심으로 진행되어 왔다는 판단 아래 ‘정확성’ 중심 문법 교육관의 특성을 살펴보고, 이러한 문법 교육관이 등장하게 된 배경을 모색하는 과정을 통해 ‘정확성’을 넘어선 ‘효과성’ 중심의 문법 교육의 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 ‘정확성’ 중심 문법 교육관의 특성을 언어관, 인간관, 문법 교육관의 세 가지 측면으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그리고 이러한 문법 교육관이 등장하게 된 배경을 사회 문화적 배경과 언어학적 배경으로 나누어 모색하였고, 이를 통해 ‘정확성’ 중심의 문법 교육관을 기반으로 ‘효과성’ 중심으로 문법 교육관이 확장될 필요성과 그 가능성에 대해 논하였다.

Assuming that existing grammar education has been focused on normative correctness, the present study purposed to examine the characteristics of correctness centered grammar education and the background that such a view of grammar education emerged in order to see the possibility of grammar education centering on ‘effectiveness,’ going beyond correctness. For this purpose, we examined the characteristics of correctness centered grammar education in three aspects: view of language, view of humans, and view of grammar education. In addition, the background that such a view of grammar education emerged was analyzed from two aspects - sociocultural aspect and linguistic aspect - and discussed the necessity and possibility for the expansion of grammar education to that centering on ‘effectiveness.’
