본고는 내수읍과 오창읍의 법정리 7개를 대상으로, 그 한자이름이 자연리 이름의 어원을 얼마나 반영하고 있는가에 대한 논의이다. ‘內秀里’는 ‘안수재’에 대한 한자 이름이고, ‘呂川里’는 ‘여우내’에 대한 한자 이름이다. ‘佳谷里’는 ‘가야골/개골’에 대한 한자 이름이고, ‘角里’는 ‘각골’에 대한 한자 이름이다. ‘星山里’는 ‘빌미기’에 대한 한자 이름이고, ‘佳佐里’는 ‘가재울’에 대한 한자 이름이다. 그리고 ‘杜陵里’는 ‘두무실’에 대한 한자 이름이다. 이들 법정리 이름들은 훈차법에 의한 한역 이름이 아닌, 음차법․훈음차법․훈음병차법 등이 이용된 것들이다. 예를 들면, ‘안수재’에 대한 한자 이름 ‘內秀里’에서, ‘안’을 ‘內’로, ‘재’를 ‘里’로 바꾼 것은 어느 정도 뜻을 고려한 훈차 표기이나, ‘수’를 ‘秀’로 바꾼 것은 뜻과 관계없는 음차 표기에 불과하다
We have continued discussion on how much the Chinese name is reflecting the etymology of a natural village name by targeting 7 Chinese-translated names of the legally registered village of Naesu-eup and Ochang-eup. We arrange the above-mentioned discussion and finish this research. First, 'Naesu-ri' is a name corresponding to 'Ansujae', but it doesn't just point out only 'Ansujae'. 'Naesu-ri'is a name used since 1914, and it is being used as a name putting 'First Naesu-ri' together, which is recently formed comparatively with 'Ansujae'․‘Bakkatsujae' unlike its original meaning. Second, 'Yeocheon-ni' is a Chinese name of 'Yeounae'. Here, what changes 'nae' to 'cheon' is an indication considering its meaning, but what changes 'yeou' to 'ryeo' is just indication lending sound regardless of its meaning. Third, 'Gagok-ni' is a Chinese name of 'Gayagol/Gaegol'. Here, what changes 'gol' to 'gok[谷]' is an indication considering its meaning, but what changes 'Gaya/Gae' to 'Ga[佳]' is just an indication lending sound regardless of its meaning.
