남강유역 청동기시대 편인석부의 제작과 생산체계

The Bladed Stone Ax(Adze, 片刃石斧) Manufacturing and Production System of the Korean Bronze Age at the Namgang(南江) River Basin

청동기시대 석기 연구에서 제작과 생산체계에 대한 성과는 상대적으로 적은 편이며, 연구 대상 역시 산지가 한정적인 특정 재질이거나, 형태적 변이가 뚜렷하여 시간적 변화상을 간취하기 용이한 옥, 석검, 석촉, 석도 등 일부 기종에 집중되는 경향이다. 이에 본고는 그동안 이러한 논의에서 많이 다루어지지 않았던 편인석부를 중심으로 제작과 생산 체계를 살펴보았다. 청동기시대 전시기에 걸쳐 유적이 분포하며, 특히 후기에 석기 제작 전문 취락의 양상이 확인되는 남강유역을 중심으로 편인석부의 제작과 생산 체계의 변화상을 살펴보았다. 편평편인석부는 전반적으로 소형이 다수 제작되었으며, 형태적으로 전기에는평면형태 (장)방형, 후기에는 (세)장방형이 주로 제작되었다. 주상편인석부는 전기말~후기초에 출현하여 후면 형태가 직-곡-단으로 빠르게 변화하면서 유구석부의 출현으로 이어졌다. 남강유역의 석기 생산체계는 조·전기에는 취락 내 자가소비를 목적으로 이루어진 양상이 보이지만 후기에는 중심취락을 위시하여 생산 전문집단이 형성되어 주변 취락으로 공급한 양상이 확인되었다. 편인석부 역시 이러한 체계 안에서 생산된 것으로보인다. 특히 전장 30㎝내외의 혼펠스제 대형 주상편인석부에 주목하였는데, 이는 고령-대구 지역을 중심으로 형성된 혼펠스제마제석검의 유통망과 연동하여 반입된 것으로 판단하였다.

This thesis is a study on the bladed stone ax manufacturing and production system of the Korean bronze age at the Namgang river basin. The bladed stone ax is presumed to be a wood working tool. From the earlier bronze age(早期) to the early years of the bronze age(前期), the flat adze were mainly produced. In the second half of the early years(前期後半), the pillar shaped adze was newly manufactured. In the late period(後期), the pillar shaped adze was improved and the grooved adze was produced. A variety of tool sets have been estab- lished with existing the flat-adze and the pillar shaped adze at the same time. It is estimated that the growing demand for wooden tools as they entered a full-fledged agricultural society in the late bronze age increased the types and quantity of wooden tools and required functional development. In addition, it would have been equipped with an efficient stoneware production system. Also, through the distribution network of Hornfels stone knives, which were buried together in tombs and had the majestic character, there is a possibility that high-quality stone tools or materials made of Hornfels other than stone knives were included. The large pillar shaped adze excavated from the remains of the bronze age set- tlement in the Namgang river basin could be the clue.
