「사소절(士小節)」과 3∼5세 누리과정 비교를 통해 살펴본유아기 듣기, 말하기 예절교육

Nuri program through the lenses of “Sasojeol” focused on the Etiquette education of Listening and Speaking for 3-5 year-old preschoolers

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 과거부터 현대까지 언어예절의 교육내용을 살펴보아 유아기 듣기, 말하기 예절교육의 시사점을 찾아보는 것이었다. 따라서 조선시대 이덕무가 집필한 생활예절서 「사소절」과 3∼5세 누리과정 의사소통 영역의 듣기, 말하기에서 언어예절 내용들을 비교하였고, 앞으로의 유아기 듣기, 말하기 예절 교육의 시사점을 찾아보았다. 연구방법으로는 김종권(1987)이 번역한 이덕무의 「사소절」에서 듣기와 말하기 언어 예절 이 포함된 부분을 발췌하였고, 이를 3∼5세 누리과정 의사소통 영역의 듣기와 말하기 교 육내용에 비추어 비교하며 분석하였다. 연구결과 3∼5세 누리과정의 의사소통 영역은 듣 기에서는 다른 사람의 이야기를 주의 깊게, 끝까지 듣기, 말하기에서는 정확한 발음, 바르 고 고운말 사용, 시선주기, 말의 차례지키기, 상황에 맞게 말하기 등에서 조선시대 「사소 절」의 언어예절의 맥을 이어 계승되고 있었다. 그러나 「사소절」에서 나타난 수화사용 자나 외국어 사용자 등 청자의 다름을 인정하며 듣기, 인터넷 등 다양한 정보를 듣는 태 도, 말하기에 있어 구체적인 금기사항의 제시 등의 내용이나 지도방법들은 향후 3∼5세 유아기 듣기와 말하기 교육내용에 포함될 필요가 있음을 시사 받을 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze our Nuri program through the lenses of “Sasojeol”, written in Joseon Dynasty focused on the Etiquette education of Listening and Speaking. Thus, our suggestions are based on the comparative analysis of Nuri Curriculum for 3-5 year-old children with the theory of Listening and Speaking etiquette in ‘Sasojeol’. Through the research, we find that the Nuri Curriculum for the preschoolers aged 3-5 has inherited ways of traditional education, specified in ‘Sasojeol’. Nonetheless, we suggest that child etiquette education should adopt and put into practice the philosophic, methodological, ethical directions of ‘Sasojeol’.
