본 연구는 사회적경제조직인 사회적 기업에서 일한 HIV/AIDS 감염인들의 근무 경험의 의미를 탐색하기 위하여 HIV/AIDS 감염인 9인을 심층면접한 자료를 내용분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, HIV/AIDS 감염인들의 사회적 기업 근무 경험은 ‘사람다운 삶의 시작’, ‘보호막이 되어주는 직장’, ‘치료비에 묶인 절반의 자립’, ‘끊임없이 맞닿는 편견과 차별’ 등의 14개의 개념, ‘일하는 사람으로다시 살기’를 비롯한 4개의 하위범주, ‘사회구성원으로 일어서기’의 상위범주가 도출되었다. 연구참여자들은 낙인과 편견, 질병의 고통에도 불구하고 사회적 기업에서의 근로를 통해 한 사람의 사회인으로 살 수 있을까를 둘러싼 기대와 두려움을 가진 채 사회로 나아가는 길 앞에 다시 서고 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 HIV/AIDS 관련 복지정책이 질병 대응에서 확대하여 감염인들의 경제활동과사회복귀를 고려해야 함을 제언하였다.

In order to explore the meaning of the working experiences of PLWHA(People Living with HIV/AIDS) who worked in a social enterprise, a social economy organization, this study analyzed in-depth interview data of 9 PLWHA using a content analysis method. As a result of the analysis, the experience of working in a social enterprise of PLWHA has 14 concepts, such as ‘the beginning of a human life’, ‘a protective workplace’, ‘half independence due to the cost of treatment’, and ‘constant prejudice and discrimination’. Four sub-categories, including ‘living again as a working person’, and the main category of ‘standing up as a member of society’ were derived. The study participants were standing in front of the road to society again with expectations and fears about whether they could live as members of society through work in social enterprises despite stigma, prejudice, and suffering from disease. Based on the research results, it was suggested that HIV/AIDS-related welfare policies should be expanded from disease response to consider the economic activities and social return of PLWHA.
