한국판 청소년용 자기자비척도(K-SCS-Y)의 요인구조 재탐색

Re-exploring the Factor Structure of the Korean Self-Compassion Scale-Youth(K-SCS-Y): Using Factor Analysis with Rotation to a Partially Specified Target

목적 본 연구는 Neff 외(2020)가 개발한 청소년용 자기자비척도(SCS-Y)를 한국의 청소년을 대상으로 타당화한 한국판 청소년용 자기자비척도(K-SCS-Y)의 요인구조를 재탐색하는 것으로 목적으로 하였다. 방법 이를 위해, 부산 지역의 중학생 248명을 대상으로 한 설문을 전통적인 탐색적 요인분석과 부분제약 목표회전 요인분석을 통해 분석하여 최적 요인 모형을 탐색하였다. 부분제약 목표회전 요인분석은 Self-Compassion Scale(SCS-Y)(Neff et al., 2020)의 요인구조에 근거하여, 요인별 지표변인인 문항들은 자유모수로 추정하고, 다른 문항들은 0에 가까운 수로 제약하여 요인분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 전통적인 탐색적 요인분석 결과, K-SCS-Y의 5요인 모형 및 6요인 모형이 모두 적합하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 원척도인 Neff 외(2020)의 SCS-Y의 요인구조를 바탕으로 하여 부분제약 목표회전 요인분석을 실시한 결과, K-SCS-Y의 요인의 개수가 SCS-Y와 동일하게 6개로 나타났으며, 요인별 지표변수 문항도 원척도와 거의 동일하게 나타났다. 결론 K-SCS-Y의 요인구조로 Neff(2003)의 자기자비 개념과 동일한 6요인 구조가 확인되었다. 이는 청소년을 대상으로 하는 자기자비 연구의 활성화로 이어질 것으로 기대된다.

Objectives This study re-examined the factor structure of the K-SCS-Y(Park & Ahn, 2022), which validated the Self-Compassion Scale-Youth(SCS-Y)(Neff et al., 2020) for Korean adolescents. Methods To this end, a questionnaire targeting 248 middle school students in the Busan area was analyzed through traditional exploratory factor analysis and factor analysis with rotation to a partially specified target to search for the optimal factor model. Factor Analysis with Rotation to a Partially Specified Target was based on the factor structure of the Self-Compassion Scale: SCS-Y(Neff et al., 2020); items that were index variables for each factor were estimated as free parameters, and other items were restricted to numbers close to 0. Results First, as a result of the traditional exploratory factor analysis, both the 5-factor and 6-factor models of K-SCS-Y were found to be inappropriate. Second, as a result of factor analysis with rotation to a partially specified target based on the factor structure of SCS-Y(Neff et al., 2020), the indicator variable items for each factor were almost identical to those of SCS-Y. Conclusions As the factor structure of K-SCS-Y, the same 6-factor structure as Neff's(2003) concept of self-compassion was confirmed. This result is expected to lead to the activation of self-compassion research targeting adolescents.
