According to Burtler’s thesis, a resort or a tourist destination follows a certain path of development stages, drawing S curve. With a thesis that the growth of tourist destination will end off at sometime in the future, this paper examines the each historical trend of visitors to Jeju island, Okinawa and Hawaii (famous destinations of the world), and the authors set up plausible time path models to the growth of visitors in each, during the past years. With the findings, the parameter “C” of the case of Hawaii is greater than the others and Hawaii is estimated to be at the stage of stagnation and saturation at present. Okinawa and Jeju island are found similar in the prospective tourist growth and development stage currently placed, but Jeju Island was found more advantageous in growth remaining strength than Okinawa. On the other hand, Okinawa was found better in position than Jeju Island in the length of whole life cycle.
