다문화청소년의 진로장벽이 진로결정에 미치는 영향

A Study on the Relationship between Career Barrier and Decision Making for Multicultural Teenagers: Role of the Inter-Mediation Effect of Achievement Motivation

본 연구는 다문화청소년의 진로결정을 증진시킬 수 있는 실천적인 방안을 모색하고자 수행되었다. 구체적으로 다문화청소년의 진로장벽과 진로결정의 관계를 규명하고, 성취동기가 다문화청소년의 진로장벽과 진로결정의 관계에서 매개효과를 가지는지를 검증하고자 설계되었다. 본 연구를 수행하고자 “한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년 패널조사(MAPS)”에서 6차연도(2016년)에 참여한 중학교 3학년 자료를 사용하였으며, 1,635명의 자료중 결측치(306명)를 제외한 1,329명의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화청소년의 진로장벽은 진로결정에 유의한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화청소년의 진로장벽은 성취동기에 유의한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성취동기는 진로결정에 유의한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 성취동기는 다문화청소년의 진로장벽과 진로결정의 관계에서 유의미한 수준에서 매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

This study has been conducted to find practical ways for multicultural teenagers to enhance their self-determination capability over future careers. Specifically, this study is designed to reveal the relationship between recognition of career barriers and career decision making capability. Finally, I am going to demonstrate how achievement motivation works as a mediation effect in between the above two factors: career barrier recognition and career self-determination. To conduct this study, data from third grade middle school students who participated in the sixth year(2016) of Korea Youth Policy Institute's Multicultural Youth Panel Survey (MAPS) has been used, and 1,329 data out of 1,635 (306 were missing) were used for final analysis.
