A Study on the Relationship between Spiritual Wellness, Leisure Satisfaction, Psychological Well-being, and Quality of Life of Food Industry Customers

This study aims to investigate the relationship between spiritual wellness, leisure satisfaction, psychological well-being, and life quality of food industry customers. The data of the present study were collected from June 1st to July 31st in 2013. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, when the relationship between spiritual wellness and its outcome variables, psychological well-being, life quality, and leisure satisfaction was investigated respectively, the variables were all significantly positively correlated. Second, food industry customers feel that their life quality is good when they feel psychologically happy. Third, the result showed that food industry customers feel psychologically happy when they have a feeling of leisure satisfaction through using restaurants and foodservice industry in their leisure time. Fourth, the results showed that when food industry customers have a feeling of leisure satisfaction through spending their leisure time in restaurants and foodservice industry, they feel that their life quality is good. Therefore, the study suggests that spiritual wellness, leisure satisfaction, and psychological well-being are the important antecedent variables for food industry customers to feel that their life quality is good.
