몽골 교환창 민요 ‘숨야 노용’과 한국 가면극 ‘노장 과장’에 대한 비교연구

A comparative study of Mongolian legendary dramatized folk song “Sumya Noyon” and the character of “Old Monk” in Korean mask dance drama

In traditional Mongolian dramatized folk song are called “legendary antiphonal folk songs”. In this legendary dramatized folk song “Nobleman Sumya”, the story of the love between a frivolous woman, apostate monk and a rich gentleman is similar to the character of the traditional Korean troupe Mask drama “Nojang kwajang”. This is an example of reflecting social problems in folk songs in accordance with the social phenomena of each country in the 18th and 19th centuries. After stydying the source materials of both countries, Korean material Nojang-gwajang depends on the time before “Sumya Noyon”, so it is possible that such content transferred to Mongolia and new works were created and devoloped. It is hoped that in the future, more research will be conducted to determine the place of Mongolia in the traditional history of East Asia. This will also serve as a good example for cultural exchange and the creation of new cultures today.
