Political Ideology in Arab News and Reframing Aspects of Korean News Trans-editing: A Case Study on News Texts Related to the “Abraham Accords”

The study aims to analyze the features and patterns of Arabic fan subtitles attached to the This study analyzes news frame aspects of two Arab agencies along with a Korean agency’s subsequent reframing. The study also analyzes trans-editing issues from recontextualization, that is, from the reframing perspective. The research method is the classification of news texts by Emirates News Agency (WAM), Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA), and Yonhap News Agency—all related to Abraham Accords— when the accords were signed by the UAE and Israel. The study then analyzes differences in news frames among media and news texts related to Israel at two points in time: two years before and after signing the accords. The study then scrutinizes the differences and changes in news frames among media according to the point in time. Results show significant differences and changes. WAM and WAFA viewed the incident from their respective contry's or community's political ideology. Yonhap News reported the incident through the trans-editing of foreign medias through correspondents in several regions. It showed positive development compared to the results of previous studies, but it was still highly dependent on Western foreign media.
