메타버스 시대에 대비한 지역산업 발전에 대한 고찰

Consideration of Local Industrial Growth in Anticipation of the Metaverse Era

본 논문은 메타버스 환경으로 변화하는 IT혁신 사이클 속에서 대구경북지역의 메타버스 산업을 육성하고, 메타버스를 활용하여 지역 산업 전반을 어떻게 발전시킬 것인지를 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 메타버스 및 메타버스 산업의 특징을 살펴보고, 지역 및 지역산업이 메타버스로의 환경전환에 어떻게 대비할 것인지 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 그 결과 경쟁이 가능한 글로벌 산업분야 중에서 우리지역에 맞는 메타버스 산업분야를 선정하고, 선정된 산업분야 간의 벨류체인을 구축해야 한다는 방향성이 도출되었다. 이를 원활히 하기 위해 메타버스 산업을 위한 추진체계를 마련하고, 관련 인프라 구축, 산업벨류체인 확보, 성과확산 체계를 마련할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 지역활성화, 지역산업 고도화, 문화융합을 이루고 궁극적으로 메타버스 환경에서의 지역산업 전반의 활성화 촉진이라는 비전을 제시하였다.

This study investigates how our region will foster the metaverse industry as the IT innovation cycle transitions to a metaverse environment, as well as how to use the metaverse to develop the Daegu-Gyeongbuk local industry. To this purpose, the features of the metaverse and metaverse industry were analyzed, and suggestions were developed for how the region and local industries can prepare for the metaverse's environmental transition. Consequently, a direction was formed for selecting a metaverse industry field suited for our region from among global industrial fields in which competition is conceivable and establishing a value chain between the selected industrial fields. To support this, it was recommended that a promotion system for the metaverse industry and systems for developing relevant infrastructure, ensuring an industrial value chain, and publicizing performance be developed. By doing so, regional revitalization, local industry advancement, and cultural convergence were accomplished, and a vision for encouraging the regeneration of the local industry in the metaverse environment was offered.
